I agree that Chord should have warranted a nomination. Giving him the ability to shine this year was a wise choice and his emotional scenes like in Shooting Star and Naked were phenomenal. I have to disagree about Darren though. He's gotten better over the year, I'll give him that. But he only shines if he plays off of someone else. Basically, he needs to feed off someone to act well. Look back at his scene after HDTY; Or with Sue in Feud. He often overacts. He's best playing the dapper guy.

His scenes in Shooting Star are precisely why Chord came to mind when I was thinking about who deserved the chance at an Emmy nod. They were some of the most powerful scenes of the entire season.

Your thoughts on Darren I both agree and disagree with. I do agree with you on that scene with Sue in Feud, that it was a little over-the-top, but then think of the context of that scene. Blaine had been given cement for hairgel. He literally knocked on his hair. Blaine’s anger in that scene was supposed to over-the-top—that was the comedic value in it, that he was so furious and it was such an unrealistic and absurdly funny situation.

When I think of Darren deserving a chance at an Emmy nod, the first thing that comes to mind is his performance in Dynamic Duets. The way he portrayed Blaine being so passionate about the superhero club was perfect—relatively believable given the inherently unrealistic situation. He made Blaine’s “This club is a serious thing” mindset work. His brief conflict with Finn about going back to the Warblers was a believable confrontation, with Blaine trying to get someone to understand his internal struggle of staying at McKinley without Kurt. And the scene at the end with Sam at Blaine’s locker, with the flashback to Eli’s and Blaine expressing his pain at hurting the person he loves most—that was great acting from my viewpoint. Granted I’m probably biased because I’m emotionally invested in Blaine’s pain; of course it’s going to affect me. But I definitely think Darren’s performance over the course of the season warrants recognition. Is it enough to WIN an Emmy? Perhaps not, but to get a submission to be considered for a nomination? Yes, he deserves that, in my opinion.

lbr. darren and chord deserve to at least be submitted for emmy nom consideration

i am angry

oh my god.

We’re having some sort of Internet issue again and right now my laptop is being remotely controlled by some AT&T technician guy and it’s just so weird seeing my cursor move “by itself.”
Oh, and the guy saw Darren on my desktop background and over the phone was all, “Is that you?” referring to my dad and that’s the funniest thing ever, omg.
I want my Internet back.
